Driving regulations in the UK

  •  They want to lower the speed limits.What do you think about it.
  •  I think they are right to do it , this way we can reduce the number of car accidents. 
  • Do you know the rules ?
  • yes .You have to : Drive on the left-hand side of the road.When approaching a roundabout, you must give  priority to cars  approaching from the right ,You must always stop at a red traffic light ,you must obey all traffic signals and road signs , all vehicles must give way to emergency services vehicles.You mustn't  use a car horn in built-up areas from 23:30 to 07:00 hours, you can't  drive in bus lanes during restricted hours. 
  • What about using a cell phone?
  • It's illegal to use a mobile phone when driving..
  • What about wearing seat belts because I don't like them. 
  • You must wear seat belts . If rear seat belts have been fitted, you must also wear them. 
  • Where can I take my exam to have my driving licence ?
  • The minimum driving age is 17.
  •  What about speed limits ?
  • You must not exceed the maximum speed limit set for the road and your vehicle. It is 48 kph in built -up areas and 112 kph -motorways. 
  • Do you know what  Congestion Zone Charge is as I have come across with it during my stay in London?
  • yes, you have to pay to drive in central London between 07:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday excluding Public Holiday. It has been implemented to  reduce traffic and raise money to improve transport in London.Congestion and heavy traffic do pose a problem in London.
